Corporal Lara Havenloft was meeting with her boss General Stewart Menzies, who commanded British intelligence.
They were discussing the kidnapping of Duke Law, a businessman who handled the United Kingdom's negotiations with the Belgian Congo authorities.
Lara silently recalled how she was defeated as Lady Britannia by an African villainess called Queen Voodoo...who had orchestrated the kidnapping of the Duke.
"The Congo is very important to England. It exports rubber, copper, and other raw materials that are essential for the war effort...to England and the Allies in general. Duke Law was responsible for all the negotiating work with the Congolese government to gain its trust. So his kidnapping must be dealt with as a matter of urgency" said Menzies.
The African country had become part of the Allies after Belgium surrendered to the Germans.
But its government went into exile in the Congo and began to dominate all of the African country's business.
"What about the woman who kidnapped Duke Law? Lady Britannia said she identified herself as Voodoo Queen" said Lara.
Menzies showed the British intelligence agent a photo of the villainess.
"We have very little information about her. But what we have had managed to find out is there is a legend of an ancient tribe in Belgian Congo that had a history of using voodoo and were said to be led by highly proclaimed queen...who is the descendant of native voodoo priests. We think the tribe is working for the Nazis" said Menzies.
